Minister for Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations, Sam George, has applauded MultiChoice Africa for surpassing government’s expectations with its new value enhancement package for Ghanaian DStv subscribers.
Addressing a press briefing in Accra on Monday, September 29, the Minister revealed that government had initially requested a 30% boost in value for subscribers.
“MultiChoice has gone beyond what we asked for. We went in seeking a 30% increase, but the final agreement offers between 33% and 50% more value, depending on the subscription package,” he said.
Sam George expressed appreciation to the company for the gesture, describing it as a show of goodwill towards customers.
“The committee believes this enhanced value package responds effectively to government’s concerns. It eases the financial burden on Ghanaian households while safeguarding the sustainability of the DStv service in the country,” he added.
