Award-winning music producer MOG Beatz has reignited his feud with dancehall star Shatta Wale, accusing him of selling his music catalogue without crediting or paying the producers behind the work.
On August 19, 2025, MOG announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he had removed Shatta Wale’s Reign Album and Wondaboy Album from Apple Music over unresolved issues of royalties and production credit.
“You sell my beats, erase my credit, then buy luxury cars,” MOG wrote in a fiery post directed at Shatta Wale.
According to him, Shatta Wale falsely claimed production credit for songs created by him and other producers, allegedly using that claim to strike a deal with an international company without their consent.
MOG warned that taking down the two albums was just the beginning.
“Two albums have already been taken down, and more are coming soon. Sell your assets and refund the company you scammed. Leasing your catalogue just to survive? That’s the path you chose. This time, the talk will come with action,” he declared.
MOG Beatz, who produced hits such as Gringo, Bend Over, If I See, and Squeeze on the Reign Album, said his contributions had gone unrewarded despite the project’s success.
This latest clash adds to a long-running dispute between the two. In 2021, MOG publicly accused Shatta Wale of failing to pay him for 10 songs he produced on the Reign Album. Although Shatta Wale promised compensation, MOG said he never received a dime.
At the time, MOG had written on social media:
“Money Man @shattawalegh, me I dey see you as a big brother I never had. I know say you no be STINGY like that lol, I produced 10 songs on the #ReignAlbum but ano see no CASH from you since 2018.”
With tensions resurfacing, the standoff between MOG Beatz and Shatta Wale over credits and royalties shows no sign of ending, raising fresh questions about transparency in Ghana’s music industry.
