The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has announced that the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic will officially commence on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
In a statement issued by the Office of the Speaker and signed by Mr. Bagbin, the meeting is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Parliament House in Accra.
The announcement was made in line with Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament, which empowers the Speaker to fix the date and time for the start of parliamentary sittings.
This comes after an earlier notice issued on October 6, 2025, which postponed the initial resumption date.
When the House reconvenes, Members of Parliament are expected to deliberate on several important national issues, including the consideration of pending bills, motions, and government policy statements.
